The partners at Trinity Surgery elected to drop their out-of-hours responsibility in response to the new GMS contract. The PCT has contracted with SDOC to provide the out-of-hours service for East Cambridgeshire and Fenland. This change commenced from October 2004 and includes Saturday mornings, minor injuries and ward cover in the community hospitals.

Shifts are available to work for SDOC for any GP who wishes to partake. At present, only Dr Wordsworth, of Trinity Surgery, regularly covers shifts.
