Susan Merrell

I was born in the North West and moved to Cambridge as a teenager. I trained as a Staff Nurse at the QEH in 1980's. My first experience of Wisbech was when I worked in the area as part of my community placement as a student nurse. I soon became aware of the friendliness of the area and settled here when I married.

I have been a practice nurse for 9 years specialising in Respiratory conditions. I am proud to be part of the Trinity Surgery organisation.

In my spare time I am an avid reader of crime novels. I enjoy brisk walks along the Norfolk Coast with my husband and family.

Joanna Wenn

I have worked at Trinity Surgery since 2002, constantly updating my clinical skills and gained my HCA qualification together with NVQ 3 and a vaccination course. My main interests are wound care management and leg ulcer treatment, although that is just a small part of my work at Trinity, as I am also engaged is all treatment room duties, chaperone and assisting with Minor Surgery and Childhood Immunisation.

Dawn Curran

RGN BScNP

Nurse Practitioner/Nurse Manager Patients often ask what is a Nurse Practitioner? It is a fairly new role and sits between the practice nurse and the GP. A Nurse Practitioner is a registered nurse who has completed specific advanced nursing education (at degree level or above) and training in the diagnosis and management of common as well as complex medical conditions. Nurse Practitioners function independently of GP involvement.

I joined the team in April 2003 having gained 20 years of nursing experience working in hospitals. Since joining I qualified as a Nurse Prescriber and Nurse Practitioner, and gained Diplomas in COPD and Asthma. I lead the smoking cessation programme for the surgery and I am the Nurse Manager I am married with two children. My interest include squash, table tennis, reading, holidays abroad (especially cruising) and my newly acquired allotment.
